Mamta Mohandas & Prithviraj in Celluloid Poster #MovieTarot
Mamta Mohandas, Sreenivasan, Chandni & Prithviraj in Celluloid Poster
Undoubtedly the most critically acclaimed film of 2013, Celluloid has been praised by almost every critic on the planet! That has also reflected on its scintillating performance at the Kerala State Film Awards. Celluloid bagged 7 awards at the event, a testament to the quality of the film.

Directed by Kamal, the film portrays the life of J. C. Daniel, the pioneer of Malayalam Cinema. Its based on the novel Nashta Naayika by Vinu. Celluloid is a detailed account of the life of Daniel, making of Vigathakumaran and the tragedies the film brought to its heroine, Rosie. Prithviraj plays J. C. Daniel and has done a spectacular job. Mamta Mohandas plays the role of Janet, Daniel's wife. Janet is the only person who supports Daniel after all the carnage around the release of the film and the 'debt ridden' life post release. Her role is an acting marvel and nothing like the typical hot Mamta Mohandas we have seen in Lanka, Nirakazcha, Homam etc.

True Happiness
Celluloid has a brilliant happiness factor at 93/100. Almost everyone watching the film would be let breathless at the end. If you are a movie buff, Celluloid is a must watch film. Katte Katte song from the film, composed by M Jayachandran and sung by Vaikom Vijayalakshmi & G. Sreeram has won hearts all around. It takes you down memory lane and is a tune that sticks!
