The Box Office completely validates Movie Tarot's predictions for David and Vishwaroop. Both the films failed to catch on in the opening day. Vishwaroop did better than David, opening to around 25%, while David was at around 10%. A lot of people had expected Vishwaroop to get off to a good start especially after the kind of hype that it had got from the raging controversy. Vishwaroop still has a chance to better the numbers on Saturday & Sunday as its true happiness score is very high at 94%. Both moviegoers as well as critics love the film.
Region-wise Box Office Collection
- Mumbai: Vishwaroop opened at 20%, while David took an opening of less than 10%.
- Delhi-UP circuit: Vishwaroop opened at 5%. Turnout improved in the afternoon, and collections hit 30% and stable. David opened at 5%.
- West Bengal: Vishwaroop received 20% opening.
- Orissa: David opened at 15% while Vishwaroop took a 20% opening.

The killer part in all of this is that Race 2 continued its good show on its 2nd Friday at the box office, once again proving that happiness of people is not determined by a critic rating. Race 2 had an 81% true happiness factor.
