David (Hindi) is all set to release tomorrow (Feb 1st) and things dont look very promising for the film. The buzz around the film is relatively low and the reach hasn't quite been there. The film has decent likability, but its unlikely that the film have a good run at the box office.

Expectation
The promotion team hasnt been able to generate a lot of hype around the film. David boasts of an ensemble cast with names like Vikram, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Isha Sharvani, Tabu and others, it lacks the star power that can very well propel it forward in the opening weekend. The buzz is primarily focused in Maharashtra & Gujarat. But the case with the tamil version seems to be a lot different with significant buzz in all four states with Tamil Nadu & Kerala peaking.

The happiness factor for David (Hindi) is good with around 85% of people likely to enjoy the flick. But the key issue for the film is its genre. Bejoy Nambiar's David belongs to a peculiar genre that not all people would watch in a theater. And with the low expectation numbers, it could be tough for 'word-of-mouth' to bring in people.

Release Timing
David (Hindi) is going in with Vishwaroop which has raked up quite the storm ever since the 'controversy' surrounding the film kicked off. On top of that, Race 2 is going strong at the Box Office (currently at Rs 70 Cr.) and is expected to do decent business in its 2nd weekend.

Upcoming Releases
There are 2 major releases scheduled for 8th Feb; Special Chabbis & ABCD : Any Body Can Dance. Both the films have good expectation and likability. This will affect the longevity of David in the theaters. The first week collection might be all that David will gross at the box office.
